Thinking can be trained too

Much more than a pastime

  • Magnifying glass over a 3 × 3 grid with a question mark

    Deductive reasoning

Form hypotheses, test them against the clues and rule out possibilities until only one remains.

  • Old notebook with handwritten words next to a grid and a quill

    Careful reading

A single word, such as “between”, “near” or “not”, can change everything. Every detail counts.

  • 3 × 3 grid with chess pieces and direction arrows

    Spatial awareness

Orient, place and connect elements on a grid: rows, columns, directions and diagonals.

  • Hourglass next to a grid with discarded attempts and one correct answer marked

    Persistence

Making mistakes is part of the process. Review your decisions, try another strategy and get closer to the solution.

About Katadoku

What is Katadoku?

Katadoku comes from kata (型), a Japanese term related to form and patterns, with an ending that recalls classic Japanese logic games.

Katadoku brings together different logic and deduction games with one shared foundation: a 3×3 grid. Each game presents a different challenge, but you will always connect clues, rule out possibilities and find the solution.

9 positions. 1 solution.
