What data we collect

Katadoku does not require registration, has no user accounts and does not maintain its own database of visitors’ personal data.

You can browse Katadoku and solve cases without providing personal data.

If you subscribe to receive notifications of new cases, only your email address will be collected.

Subscription

The subscription is managed through Mailrelay.

Your email address will only be used to notify you when we publish new Katadoku cases.

Subscription requires confirmation by email through double opt-in and is carried out with your consent.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in emails you receive or by writing to info@katadoku.com.

Your email address will be kept while your subscription remains active.

Usage statistics

Katadoku uses Simple Analytics to learn in aggregate how the website is used, for example the pages visited and the origin of visits.

Simple Analytics is designed to make this measurement without using cookies or creating individual visitor profiles.

These statistics are used only to understand how Katadoku works and is used.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction or portability of your data when applicable, as well as withdraw your consent, by writing to info@katadoku.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

Cookies

Katadoku does not use its own analytics or advertising cookies.

Game progress. To show you which games you have solved, and to avoid showing you the mission again for games you have already started, Katadoku stores only the identifiers of those games in your browser's local storage (localStorage). It contains no personal data, is never sent to any server, and you can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. While you browse, a few session preferences (such as your position in the case list) are also stored temporarily and are deleted when you close the tab.

Simple Analytics works without cookies, so its use does not require analytics cookies to be installed on your device.

The subscription form is managed by Mailrelay and may use technical mechanisms necessary for its operation and protection against spam, such as CAPTCHA.

You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings.

If we use non-essential cookies requiring consent in the future, consent will be requested before using them.
